A native Southern Californian, Milli spent her childhood summers in Mauritius, the island off the coast of Madagascar where her mom was born and raised. By visiting family overseas and speaking multiple languages at home, Milli developed an interest in connecting with diverse communities. Milli is a science geek and realized that biology is a universal language of life. After studying at UCSD, she volunteered at a United Nations health camp for refugees in Jordan to learn more about public and population health, which inspired her Master’s program at Johns Hopkins. Milli is now back in Southern California where she works at Kaiser Permanente’s Health Innovation department. Milli is a proud vegetarian and loves to read about science, history, and philosophy.

Milli says: “The application process is a philosophical exercise in self-reflection. No matter the results, applicants gain invaluable knowledge about themselves and their passion to serve others through medicine. I am excited to aid students through this grueling but rewarding experience.”
